Here we are mid summer in AZ I am definitely looking forward to the winter. Night sessions are really the only time you can ride out here now. Things have been pretty busy around here when I have been home. I met Jose Yanez, the first person to flip a BMX bike, and was also the rider in the 80′s epic movie “Rad”. He was hanging out at a local jam the Serenity BMX put on at AZ grind, a local indoor park that has started to let bikes in. After that I was graciously invited to Woodward West as a visiting Pro. Met a bunch of cool campers and as always had a lot of fun riding with them and playing ridicules games of B.I.K.E for stickers, I had brought my guitar with me this time and I played a song off my second ALBUM “Songs From there and Here” in the talent show for the campers. I had a blast doing it. What was different about playing the song "Wasted Friday" this night was Skyler (camps music director) played drums along with me, something I had never added to this. It was a good week, huge thanks to camp for having me and all the campers I got to meet and ride with. On the drive back from camp to AZ, I drove into a massive dust storm, called a Haboob, that’s the real name. It looks crazy from far away and once inside the storm its like a big blizzard of junk all in the air, and is pretty dark. Crazy. I was home for 2 days then, last minute I received a call and was offered to Judge the Mongoose Invitational Jam at Woodward, sooooo, I was back on the road again for 8 hrs to spend 5 days at camp. I was stoked to go, not a bad place to be, since it has been hot and humid in AZ. The comp was sick and although hard to judge due to everyone killing it, I had a really fun time. Mongoose threw an after party with food and open bar to treat all the drinkers. I got to met S-One Helmet Co. team mate Alex Platt, that was cool talking to him for a bit. The drive home went easy, no dust storms or zombie sightings while driving through the desert. After being gone for 2 weeks, I'm catching up on a lot of stuff while planning some trips for the next 2 months ahead. Things are stacking up nicely. You can always find out what I am doing and when I'm doing it on all the social outlets under: adambanton. Now I’m back home enjoying home cooked meals and ready to ride my local spots!
